With the recent release of last spring’s M-Step results, parents (students too!) might find this video helpful as you review your student’s results.
The MEAP is now gone, and our Rockets took the new M-STEP for the first time last year.
The M-STEP measures student performance on a strong set of higher standards in English language arts and mathematics. Instead of bubble sheets and multiple-choice tests, students are showing critical thinking, problem solving, and deeper understanding.
Fast-forwarding from the MEAP to the M-STEP is a big deal. With the change of the test, all Michigan schools expected the results to look different. R-P established a new baseline that provides a better picture of what students know and where they need help.
The report you received included a breakdown of how your child performed within each subject. The report can help you, as a parent, to understand where your children excel or where they may need additional support.
Reeths-Puffer Schools are continually looking forward to plan for what students need to leverage their success in post-secondary education and careers.
