Starting January 1st, students and parents can complete the Free Application
Student Aid (FAFSA) by going to fafsa.gov. The FAFSA is used by colleges and universities, the state government, and the federal government to help determine how much money they will contribute toward paying for your student’s college expenses. Students can receive various types of money to help pay for college costs; to find out more, go to studentaid.gov. Information provided on the FAFSA may also be used by companies/organizations to help determine scholarship eligibility.
For a list of what information you will need to provide to complete the FAFSA, please go to: rpcollegeadviser.weebly.com and look under “Financial Aid”. You will also find a step-by step guide with instructions on how to complete the FAFSA as well as a list of events where you can get help submitting your student’s FAFSA. Additionally, a “Cash for College Night” at R-PHS is being planned for during January; more information to come after Winter Break.
If you have any questions about the FAFSA or anything else college-related, please contact Miss Little (email@example.com or ext. 3216 at R-PHS).
