The Annual Turkey Run was another huge success on Thanksgiving Day! With many helping hands from R-P and surrounding community members, 2,300 meals were prepared and delivered to people all over Muskegon county.
The Salvation Army has partnered with R-P for many years to provide a warm Thanksgiving meal that includes turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes and green beans. The food is collected by the Salvation Army and addresses organized by Bob Carter, retired Muskegon County Sheriff.
The lead volunteers at R-P are: Ralph and Jean LeMieux, Donna Durda and Connie Falbe. Without their leadership and tireless hours of preparation, the Turkey Run would be a challenge to pull off. Kudos to these wonderful people.
