With new freshmen moving into the dorms and college sports about to come into full swing, colleges around the state and around the nation will be holding open houses in the coming months to introduce prospective students to their schools. Central Michigan, Western, Davenport, Grand Valley, Kettering, Hope, Calvin, Ferris, and Michigan Tech are among a long list of colleges and universities who will open their campuses up so visiting high school students can partake in a variety of activities, such as touring campus, meeting college staff, eating in dorm cafeterias, attending a sporting event, etc.
All students are encouraged to visit colleges in order to determine if they are a good fit for them. If a student needs a school-related absence for a college visit, they must complete a college visitation form and submit it to their counselor at least a week prior to their scheduled visit. This form can be found on the Counseling webpage for the high school.
