Showcase 2015

R-PHS was well represented at Showcase 2015!  For those that don’t know about Showcase, it is a two-night production staged at the Frauenthal Theatre in downtown Muskegon where all schools in the greater Muskegon County present their “very best” in the areas of:  Academics, Athletics, Literary Arts, Performing Arts and Visual Arts.

The students that represented R-PHS are presented below:

 Lindsay Meyers:  Academics

Brandon Young: Athletics

Kayla Hobby: Literary Arts

Sam Anderson: Performing Arts

Morgan Nichols: Visual Arts

Showcase not only provides the honored students that are chosen to represent their school with a platform to “Showcase” their talents, but also provides scholarship awards through a judging process in the amounts of:  $1,000.00 for First Place, $500.00 for Second Place and $300.00 for Third Place in the Literary, Performing and Visual Arts categories.

R-PHS had two students earn $500.00 each for winning 2nd place in their talent category!

Sam Anderson won 2nd place for his theatrical and vocal performance of “Santa Fe” from the Disney Broadway Musical: Newsies.

Morgan Nichols won 2nd place for her art piece titled: The Rhythm of Art, (Wood &  Old Piano Keys).

We are very proud of the students that represented our high school as they made their mark on Showcase 2015!
