OK Principals Weigh In on New State Testing

As we close in on the end of the first semester of the 2014-15 school year, plans are forming on how we will prepare a junior testing schedule to meet proposed changes to the state mandated assessments given to our junior class.

Our teachers work very hard to prepare our students to be successful beyond their days as Rockets.  This preparation includes college, work and of course, state mandated assessments.

Recently, the Principals of the OK Conference met to draft a letter to be sent to the following individuals:

Mike Flanagan – State Superintendent

Mike Radke – Director, Office of Field Services

Vanessa Keesler – Deputy Superintendent, Accountability Services

Kyle Guerrant, Deputy Superintendent

The OK Principals are hopeful that state lawmakers and policy crafters will contemplate the contents of our letter as we believe it has the best interests of our students at its core.
